HDD Sales Will increase

According to CEO Steve Luczo sales Seagate Hard Disk Drive (HDD) will increasingly hold well in the coming years, although they must continue to HDD undermined by Solid State Drive (SSD).

Luczo seem optimistic that sales will increase slightly HDD this year and next. Even in 2011, predicted would experience a significant improvement for the HDD. According to him, HDD market outside the United States has started to recover from the recession during 2009 and the U.S. will begin to take steps during the second quarter of 2009.

Most analysts expect the 10 to 15 per cent sales increase per year, is much smaller than what is expected Luczo.

"Many other places in the world to become a new segment for the HDD. The second half of 2010 and 2011 the world will again glanced HDD," said Luczo, Seagate quoted as saying on Wednesday (13/1/2010).

One analysis that agrees with the opinion Aaron Luczo is Stifel Niklaus. According to him HDD would probably increase, because the wave of increased sales of storage for the enterprise segment is expected to rise significantly.

"We IDC estimates the total expenditure to improve storage company is 9 to 10 percent in 2010, while in 2011 there was an increase of five percent," added Aaron
